Dr. Delia Bellezza obtained her second cycle degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at the University of Palermo in Italy and earned the Sustainable Chemistry Master’s degree at the University of Valencia in Spain. In 2018, she completed her PhD degree in Chemistry with a thesis entitled “Heterocyclic compounds in catalysis” under the supervision of Prof Gregorio Asensio Aguilar, supported by a Santiago Grisolía grant from the Valencia Regional Government. From January 2019 to September 2019 she was working on scaling up patented synthesis of beta-amino alcohols in the Organic Chemistry Department of the University of Valencia under the supervision of Prof Rafael Ballesteros.

Currently, she is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Pérez-Prieto’s group. Her research interest lies in the synthesis and characterization of chromophore derivatives and their lanthanide complexes
